Abbott is currently seeking a Head
, Advanced Analytics to lead a team of data science experts and analysts. This role involves driving data-driven decision-making processes and providing strategic insights to support business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a high-performing team, ensuring professional development and high performance.
- Apply machine learning, artificial intelligence, statistical modeling, data mining, and visualization techniques to build analytics solutions across various domains including business, finance, manufacturing, and quality.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders in India and the US to develop advanced analytics strategies and roadmaps.
- Deliver creative, user-friendly solutions and present insights effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Oversee the design, development, and deployment of advanced analytics models and solutions.
- Establish and implement modern digital and analytics architectures to support Abbott’s digital transformation.
- Provide leadership and hands-on technical direction to deliver world-class, insight-driven customer experiences.
- Investigate and develop new best practices and methodologies.
- Develop a digital and analytics roadmap to ensure cost-effective and customer-centric solution delivery.
- Drive technology selection, design, and development of appropriate processes, tools, and controls.
- Manage selection, negotiations, relationships, contracts, and performance of third-party delivery providers and partners.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in analytics and data science.
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy in all analytics processes.
Minimum Education
Bachelor’s Degree
Minimum Experience/Training
- At least 10 years of experience in business, digital, analytics, or information technology.
- Proven experience as a technical leader with broad knowledge of digital and analytics technologies and disciplines.
- Experience leading teams and managing multi-site development projects.
- Experience working in a matrix organization with global and local teams.
- Ability to build strong and effective partnerships with business managers and prioritize global and local needs.
- Track record of building high-performing teams and making effective decisions.
- Strong digital and analytics solution and technology delivery skills.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum methodology.
- Highly proficient in consumer technologies including digital, analytics, mobile, and social applications.
- In-depth knowledge of machine learning, pattern recognition, and data-mining techniques.
- Analytical skills with a solid foundation in programming (R, SAS, Python, SQL, NoSQL, PostgreSQL).
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
Preferred Education/Training
- MS in quantitative discipline, such as computer science, engineering, data science, statistics, mathematics, machine learning or a related field.
- Experience working with counterparts in the US
- Proficient in data warehousing, data modeling, ETL and SQL
- Prior experience or working knowledge with tools and technologies : Spark, Clojure, Hive, Pig, Redshift
- Experience with big-data architecture, operating systems and tools for big-data analytics
- Experience with UX design
