Role
We are seeking an experienced, inspiring and commercially astute Resort Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of Amanpulo, Philippines, one of Aman’s most iconic island destinations. The successful candidate will bring a minimum of three years of experience in a Resort Manager or Hotel Manager role. Previous experience in a luxury island resort environment is essential, while prior exposure to the Asian hospitality market is highly desirable.
Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Resort Manager will be responsible for ensuring the seamless execution of all resort operations, fostering a culture of service excellence and maintaining the highest standards of guest satisfaction, team engagement and financial performance. As a key member of the resort’s leadership team, the Resort Manager will serve as an ambassador of the warm, personalised service and intuitive hospitality that defines Aman.
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day operations across all departments to ensure personalized guest experiences where every detail matters.
- Support the General Manager with budgeting, forecasting and financial performance management.
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing and Revenue teams to drive occupancy, ADR and profitability.
- Be the key point of contact for guests, resolving any concerns and ensuring an exceptional level of satisfaction.
- Implement and maintain operational policies and procedures in line with Aman standards and values.
- Lead, coach and develop department heads and teams to foster a culture of excellence and engagement.
- Conduct regular property inspections to uphold quality, safety and service consistency.
- Nurture a culture of teamwork, ownership and refined service throughout the resort.
- Ensure full compliance with health, safety and environmental standards.
- Represent Amanpulo with professionalism, discretion and a commitment to excellence.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration or related field.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in luxury hospitality, including at least 5 years in a senior operational role.
- Used to work in remote or island destinations, prior work experience in Asia preferred.
- Strong financial acumen with the ability to interpret data and manage budgets effectively.
- Proven background in Rooms and Food & Beverage operations.
- Fluency in English, knowledge of any additional languages is an asset; with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated leadership, organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Hands-on management style with impeccable attention to detail.
- Proficiency in hotel management systems such as Opera PMS or similar.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required by resort operations.
