Job Summary
The
Food Process Development Manager is responsible for developing and standardizing food production processes that support successful product commercialization across commissary and restaurant operations. This role ensures products are scalable, operationally efficient, and aligned with quality and food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop standardized production processes for new and existing products.
- Lead process validation during concept development, trials, and pilot production.
- Create and maintain technical manuals, SOPs, and production documentation.
- Manage Bill of Materials (BOM) and product specifications.
- Work closely with R&D, Operations, Procurement, Quality, and Engineering teams.
- Supervise Technical Assistants responsible for documentation and system updates.
- Drive process optimization and operational efficiency initiatives.
- Support training and technology transfer for successful product rollouts.
- Investigate production issues and implement corrective actions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Engineering, or related field.
- At least 8 years of experience in food manufacturing or process development.
- Minimum of 5 years in a managerial capacity.
- Experience in commissary, food manufacturing, or restaurant operations.
- Strong knowledge of food processing, documentation, and process improvement.
- Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
