Position Context
We are looking for an experienced
Durability Validation Management engineer for our durability validation team. This role involves managing the planning, execution, and analysis of durability tests to ensure product reliability and compliance with industry standards. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, oversee testing protocols, and drive improvements in validation processes
Position Responsibilities
- Develop and implement durability validation strategies aligned with product development goals.
- Lead and manage the durability testing team, including test engineers, technicians, and analysts.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and monitoring of durability tests on components, systems, and full vehicles.
- Define test specifications, select appropriate test cycles, and ensure tests reflect real-world conditions.
- Manage road load data validation and integration into durability testing.
- Collaborate closely with design, simulation, quality, and manufacturing teams to ensure durability requirements are met.
- Analyze test data to identify failure modes and root causes, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations (e.g., SAE, ISO, OEM requirements).
- Manage test resources, budgeting, and scheduling to meet project timelines.
- Prepare and present detailed validation reports and technical documentation for stakeholders.
- Drive adoption of new validation tools, methodologies, and technologies to enhance testing effectiveness.
- Facilitate risk assessments and support product launches with durability sign-off.
Requirements
Education/ Professional knowledge:
- Mechanical, Automotive engineer with equivalent 7+ years work experience with good knowledge in Road load data acquisition & analysis.
Skill, Experience
- Experience with road load data acquisition systems - SOMAT, Kistler, Dewesoft, Racelogic.
- Knowledge of data analysis softwares – nCode glyphworks, jBEAM.
- Familiarity with sensors: strain gauges, accelerometers, IMUs, wheel force transducers
- Expertise in processing data – FFT analysis, filtering, signal conditioning.
- Ability to detect anomalies, sensor faults, drift, and noise in acquired data
- Familiar with validation methods such as coherence checks, peak analysis, and load spectrum comparison
- Understanding of force, moment, torque, and acceleration distribution in a vehicle
Other Requirements (if Need)
- Domain of engineering fundamentals of Vehicle systems (EVs)
- Strong written and verbal communication in English language.
- Time & Project management.
- Adaptability and willingness to work in a lab environment for extended periods.
- Valid Driving licence ( LCV, SUV)
- Good problem solving and analytical skills.
- Willingness to travel when required as per business demands
- Good Team player and ability to work seamlessly with cross functional teams
