Role Objective:
As we continue to scale, we are looking for dynamic professionals who can work closely with our founders and leadership team to shape, grow and strengthen our ventures from the ground up. In this role, you will lead the end-to-end Data & AI charter for Altellect’s multi-venture ecosystem — architecting the intelligence layer, building the data foundation, and driving AI-powered product innovation across all ventures. You will blend hands-on technical depth with strategic clarity to create scalable, reusable AI capabilities that elevate user experience and operational efficiency.
Key responsibilities:
- Define and build Altellect’s unified data architecture, including sources, pipelines, events, storage layers, and real-time/near-real-time systems.
- Establish foundational data models, taxonomies, and governance to support personalization, recommendations, and venture-level analytics.
- Architect the central AI intelligence layer powering all ventures - including embeddings, vector search, ranking, classification, retrieval workflows, and agent logic.
- Lead end-to-end development of LLM-powered features (concierge workflows, summarization, routing, guidance, knowledge extraction, etc.).
- Partner with Product to identify high-value AI opportunities and convert them into scalable features.
- Build reusable AI modules that accelerate venture rollout (e.g., persona engines, wellness intelligence, investment insights, lifestyle curation signals).
- Oversee prompt design systems, agent orchestration frameworks, guardrails, and evaluation pipelines (working with the Prompt Engineer).
- Establish testing, safety, quality, and regression workflows for all AI-driven features.
- Work closely with Venture Leads/PMs to shape AI-first experiences across wellness, wealth, real estate, lifestyle, community, and other future ventures.
- Guide venture teams on how to use LLMs and intelligence systems for product and operational efficiency.
- Define the analytics foundation - instrumentation, KPIs, funnel analysis, dashboards, experimentation frameworks.
- Build a measurement system that gives rapid, reliable signals for product decision-making.
- Hire and mentor a lean but world-class team and create a culture of AI-native, data-driven product thinking across the organization.
- Work hand-in-hand with product, engineering, design, and content teams to embed AI into the fabric of every venture.
You are an ideal candidate if you have/ are:
- 8–12+ years in data engineering, machine learning, AI platform development, or applied AI roles.
- Strong architectural background with hands-on experience in building data platforms, AI pipelines, vector databases, and LLM-powered applications.
- Deep comfort with modern AI/ML tooling: embeddings, RAG architectures, model fine-tuning, LLM APIs, cloud AI stacks, feature stores, data orchestration tools.
- Experience shipping AI features in fast-paced consumer or multi-product environments.
- Demonstrated ability to convert ambiguous product problems into clear, data-backed AI solutions.
- Experience working with cross-functional partners (product, design, engineering, operations).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills - able to translate complex AI concepts into simple product language.
- A balanced mindset - strategic when needed, hands-on when required.
- Ability to operate in 0→1 ambiguity, move fast, experiment, and build from scratch.
- Passion for building products that use AI responsibly, elegantly, and meaningfully
