About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused IT Support Engineer to join our Cyprus office. This role will provide technical support to users both locally and globally, ensuring reliable IT services and a high level of user satisfaction.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting and maintaining cloud-based systems, end-user devices, and collaboration platforms, while contributing to continuous improvement of IT services.


Who you'll be working with

You will be part of a collaborative global IT team, working closely with colleagues across multiple regions and time zones. The team is made up of technical support specialists, developers, and infrastructure engineers, providing a broad range of expertise and opportunities for knowledge sharing.


This role will involve regular interaction with these teams to resolve issues, support projects, and contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of IT services across the organisation.


Responsibilities

  • Provide 1st and 2nd line IT support to users across multiple locations and time zones
  • Act as the primary IT support contact for the Cyprus office, including on-site troubleshooting
  • Manage and resolve incidents and service requests received through the Freshdesk ITSM in a timely manner
  • Support and administer Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive, etc.)
  • Administer and support Azure environments, including user and identity management
  • Maintain and support SharePoint Online sites and permissions
  • Configure, deploy, and support Windows laptops, desktops, and mobile devices
  • Manage user accounts, access rights, and security policies
  • Collaborate with global IT teams on infrastructure and system improvements
  • Document processes, solutions, and technical configurations
  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding of employees
  • Ensure compliance with IT policies, security standards, and best practices


Essential skills and experience

  • Strong experience with Microsoft Azure (Azure AD / Entra ID, user and access management)
  • Solid experience with Microsoft 365 administration
  • Hands-on experience with SharePoint Online
  • Proven experience in IT support (helpdesk or desktop support environment)
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to support non-technical users

Desirable skills

  • Basic to intermediate networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs)
  • Experience with endpoint management tools (e.g. Intune, SCCM)
  • Familiarity with ITIL practices or service management frameworks
  • Experience with security tools and best practices
  • Knowledge of backup, monitoring, or ticketing systems
  • Experience supporting users in a global or multi-office environment

Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years’ experience in a similar IT support or service desk role, ideally within a global or multi-site organisation
  • Proven hands-on experience supporting Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, and SharePoint Online
  • Strong understanding of end-user support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution
  • Relevant industry certifications such as Microsoft Certified (Azure Fundamentals), Microsoft 365 Certified (Modern Desktop Administrator Associate) or equivalent Microsoft certifications
  • ITIL Foundation or similar IT service management certification (desirable)
  • Additional certifications or knowledge in networking would be advantageous
  • Curiosity with all things AI
