Who we are looking for
For our fast‑growing Cloud & Engineering practice in Central Europe we are looking for Data Engineers to join our team. The candidate will be part of a larger team with various experience levels, responsible for delivering a new data platform. 🚀
The primary goal is to build a highly scalable and secure platform that will replace the currently used Data Warehouse and ETL/ELT pipelines. 🔐
The platform will integrate data from multiple sources, including high‑volume streaming data. 🔄
The implementation process will include business and functional analysis, platform architecture design, data model design, platform and ELT process implementation, as well as data migration and testing. ✨
Skills & requirements:
- Databricksor Google Cloud Eco-system - incl. Bigquery, Dataflow, Data Fusion etc.
- Knowledge of working withSAS, MYSQL, PowerBI.
- Knowledge ofETL tools.
- Ability to read code and understand the ETL processes.
- German is preferred, but good communication in English is a must.
- Team player, able to lead and drive the topics in the team.
- EU work permit.
Your future role
- Must have experience with Data integration / Data migration practices.
- Support and extend the existingdata ingestion and transformation pipelines.
- Transfer data fromdata warehouse and SQL databaseto Databricks or Bigquery.
- Design and implementBronze / Silver / Gold data layers.
- Resolve challenges related toreplication and permission constraints.
- Support ingestion ofSAS data, currently used inRiskcontexts (SAS acting as ETL).
- TransformSAS databases / filesand load them intoDatabricks orBigQuery.
- Work withCDC (Change Data Capture) integration patterns.
- Support and optimizeDatabricks orBigQuery data models and transformations.
- Ensure data readiness forPower BI consumption.
