Launch Recruitment is supporting a global Financial Services organisation on the lookout for a Lead Platform Engineer to join an agile team on a on a perm basis.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on Engineering Manager who can lead a small, highly skilled platform team (Infrastructure, Platform and Automation Engineers) within a complex enterprise environment.
Responsibilities Include (yet Are Not Limited To) -
- Leading and developing a talented team of 3 engineers
- Owning delivery of platform and infrastructure initiatives
- Driving Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD and automation best practice
- Overseeing containerised environments (Docker/Kubernetes) in production
- Partnering with technical and operational stakeholders across a global environment
- Ensure reliable, scalable and resilient platform operations
- Staying resilient and confident in your leadership, taking accountability and leading from the front
Requirements include -
- 10+ years’ engineering experience in platform or infrastructure environments
- 5+ years leading small, skilled engineering teams
- Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Puppet or Ansible)
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
- Solid containerisation experience (Docker and/or Kubernetes)
- Scripting capability (Python or Shell preferred)
- Experience delivering to tight timeframes and managing stakeholder expectations
- Confident communicator and influencer
