Description
The Warehouse Associate is responsible for supporting the warehouse operations by receiving, storing, picking, packing, shipping and maintaining inventory. The role requires diligence, accuracy, physical stamina and adherence to safety and organizational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and process incoming stock and materials: verify receipts against documents, inspect for damage, log items into inventory system.
- Pick and fill orders from stock: retrieve items, pack them according to order specifications, prepare for shipping.
- Pack and stage outbound shipments: ensure items are correctly labelled, packaged, efficiently staged for transport.
- Maintain inventory accuracy: assist in cycle counts, reconcile discrepancies, keep accurate records of stock movements.
- Maintain cleanliness, organisation and safety in the warehouse: keep shelves and aisles neat, comply with safety regulations and company housekeeping standards.
- Communicate with other ops departments, vendors or carriers as needed (for example, reporting damaged goods, coordinating shipments).
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management to support warehouse operations.
