The role
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Section Head / Section Manager to lead the accounting team and ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions. The ideal candidate will oversee operational accounting activities, maintain compliance with accounting standards, and support management with insightful financial reporting.
Your Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, and develop the accounting team to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality output.
- Oversee day-to-day accounting transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of operational accounting activities in accordance with company policies and Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS).
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, reports, and reconciliations for management, regulatory compliance, and audit purposes.
- Coordinate and liaise with internal stakeholders and external auditors to ensure smooth audit processes.
- Monitor and maintain internal controls over accounting operations to mitigate risks and enhance accuracy.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for operational and financial planning.
- Implement process improvements to optimize accounting workflows and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, including BIR and SEC reporting.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Proven years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and operational accounting practices.
- Proficient in accounting software and MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial reporting.
