As an Inventory Management Manager you will be responsible for managing the overall activities of the Inventory Management Team to ensure integrity and accuracy of inventory. You will develop, implement and monitor compliance of all concerned personnel to policies, procedures, controls and best practices related to inventory management . You will also manage inventory control-related projects to ensure that stated objectives are met and that the program continues to support the vision and mission of the company. You will ensure target Key Performance Indicators (KPI) are being met by the team.
What you’ll do (your mission)
- Plans and manages Physical Inventory Count (Cycle Counting and Wall to Wall Count).
- Facilitates meetings with Principal and Operations team related to physical inventory count process, results, observations, and suggested actions to be taken.
- Manages reconciliation process to meet target KPI on inventory accuracy.
- Oversees actual stock accuracy versus inventory records.
- Validates and approves request for stock adjustments.
- Oversees on time reconciliation of inventory variances and discrepancies.
- Plans and implements programs to reduce loss and damages.
- Reviews processes that challenge claims and differentiates internal and external accountability and communicates discrepancies to improve customer satisfaction.
- Evaluates and analyzes inventory level and provides reports to Principal and immediate leader on any abnormalities found.
- Ensures compliance to proper Material Handling such as First-In, First-Out (FIFO) / First-Expiry , First-Out (FEFO) Policy as defined by the Principal .
- Ensures implementation of correct quality control procedures in the event of product recall, contamination and disposal.
- Defines and reviews Key Performance indicators.
- Ensures team compliance of policies and procedures
- Develops and implements cross-functional inventory control process improvements.
- Develops and implements strategies to simplify process , improve accuracy and improve operating efficiency.
- Ensures timely implementation of improvements and measurements of ongoing changes.
- Prepares and manages budget
- Provides awareness and training across sites to promote the need for inventory accuracy and process simplification/improvements.
- Ensures that queries and complaints raised are given prompt feedback and resolutions.
- Handles regular evaluation of team/individual performance.
- Performs other tasks that may be assigned by immediate leader .
You’ll thrive in this role if you
Educational Background
- Graduate of 4- year course.
- Preferably, degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management or any Business related courses
Professional Experience
- Minimum of 5 years work experience in a managerial level specializing in Warehousing/Inventory Management
- Working knowledge in SAP and WMS is required
- With background in ISO/Process Audit
- With background in Project Management
