Position: Compliance Officer - Compliance Testing
Office Location: UB Plaza - 30F Pasig (Headquarters)
Job Summary: The Compliance Officer assist the Compliance Testing Head to create a risk-based annual Compliance Testing Program covering all the Bank units and branches and ensure that such Program is implemented according to the approved timelines.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Conduct testing of the identified Bank units’ adherence with relevant rules and regulations of BSP, SEC, IC, PDEX, PDIC, among others.
- Provide timely relevant advice and clarifications to the various units on BSP regulations, policies, circulars and other applicable banking laws.
- Elevate and discuss with the Unit/Group Heads all exceptions, violations and recommendations that are surfaced either from the units’ self-compliance, his own compliance testing and from external regulatory reviews
- Attend, whenever necessary, the regular meetings of the Board of Directors and Corporate Governance Committee and present the results of his compliance testing
- Develop and maintain a constructive working relationship with regulatory agencies, especially with the BSP Supervision Group, to keep the Bank abreast of the proper implementation of regulations and any upcoming regulatory issuances.
- Participate as Compliance representative in major bank projects
