Job Summary
This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of technical drawings and design documentation that bring engineering projects to life. Working collaboratively with project engineering, architectural, and technical services teams, you will transform concepts and specifications into precise visual representations that guide construction and manufacturing processes. Your work will directly support the successful execution of projects by creating accurate, detailed drawings and models that meet exacting customer standards. Under supervisory guidance, you will apply your technical knowledge and drafting expertise to produce high-quality deliverables that serve as the foundation for project implementation.
Responsibilities
- Create, update, and revise sketches, working drawings, and contract documents using Computer Assisted Design (CAD) software or manual drafting methods
- Prepare both 2D and 3D models to support project visualization and execution
- Read and interpret detailed customer requirements, data sheets, and supplier specifications
- Complete assignments using information provided by project engineering, architectural, or technical services staff
- Prepare comprehensive documentation to support design drawings
- Generate bills of material and schedules for project tracking and procurement
- Assist engineering personnel with formal drawing transmittals and construction-related issues
- Ensure all drawings and documents meet customer requirements and industry standards
Skills
- Proficiency in Computer Assisted Design (CAD) software
- Strong ability to read and comprehend engineering drawings and blueprints
