The Opportunity
We are seeking a meticulous Website QA Assistant (Shopify) to ensure a flawless digital experience for our global Shopify storefronts. In this role, you will act as the final line of defense, comparing live builds against Figma designs and testing end-to-end e-commerce journeys across all devices and browsers. Working closely with our UX/UI and Engineering teams, you will be responsible for identifying, documenting, and tracking bugs to resolution, ensuring that every feature release meets our high standards for visual and functional excellence.
What Your Day-to-Day Will Look Like
- Feature QA: Manually QA 5–8 new feature releases per week, comparing live builds against Figma designs pre- and post-production.
- Cross-Platform Testing: Test across all devices (mobile, tablet, desktop) and browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari) to ensure consistent behavior.
- End-to-End Audits: Execute full e-commerce user journeys—from initial browse to checkout and confirmation—across all global markets.
- Bug Documentation: Log bugs with clear steps to reproduce, including screenshots and device details, using tools like Jira, Linear, or ClickUp.
- Collaboration: Raise tickets and collaborate with the UX/UI Lead and Engineering Manager to communicate findings and track resolutions.
- Regression Testing: Verify bug fixes and perform regression testing to ensure previously resolved issues do not resurface.
- Sprint Planning: Review requirements and create test scenarios for upcoming sprints in advance of each release cycle.
What You Bring
- QA Expertise: 1–2+ years of experience in website or QA testing, preferably within an e-commerce environment.
- Design Literacy: Hands-on experience with Figma and the ability to spot even the smallest discrepancies between a design and a live build.
- E-commerce Knowledge: A solid understanding of what a high-quality e-commerce journey looks like, from PDP to checkout.
- Technical Documentation: Strong written English skills for creating clear, actionable, and reproducible bug reports.
- Detail Orientation: An extremely high level of attention to detail; you catch visual and functional issues that others miss.
- Tool Proficiency: Experience with bug tracking and ticket management software (e.g., Jira, ClickUp).
- Adaptability: Comfort testing across major browsers and devices independently in a fast-paced environment.
Bonus Points if:
- You have specific experience QA-ing Shopify storefronts.
- You are familiar with A/B testing tools (like Intelligems) or heatmap tools.
- You have a basic understanding of HTML/CSS to help diagnose layout or rendering root causes.
- You have experience using Google Suite for documentation and collaboration.
