Shift Schedule: Morning Shift
POSITION PURPOSE
The Data & Analytics Specialist is responsible for transforming Alkira’s operational and
financial data into trusted insights to support informed decision-making, strengthen
financial control, and improve service delivery outcomes.
The role bridges the gap between business systems, finance, and operations, ensuring
that data produced by platforms such as Carelink (CMS), Microsoft Business Central
(ERP) and MicroPay (Payroll), is reliable, interpretable, and actionable.
The focus of the role is on analysis, reporting, and interpretation of organisational data
to support operational and financial performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain trusted dashboards and reports using Microsoft Power BI.
- Design and maintain Power BI data models and semantic layers that support
consistent reporting and analytics.
- Define, document, and maintain KPI definitions, metrics, and reporting logic.
- Manage data quality and consistency across key operational and financial systems.
- Translate business and financial questions into analytical outputs and visualisations.
- Analyse financial, payroll, and workforce data where time and attendance records
drive payroll calculations, labour costs, and financial reporting.
- Work with Finance, ICT and Operations teams to understand reporting needs, clarify
data definitions, and prioritise analytics work aligned with organisational priorities.
- Contribute to data governance practices and the ongoing improvement of Alkira’s
reporting, data architecture, and data literacy.
Skills And Knowledge
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data
and communicate insights clearly.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Power BI, including report design, data modelling, and
dashboard development.
- Working knowledge of SQL and relational database structures.
- Understanding of financial and operational reporting concepts.

- Understanding of data governance principles, including data quality, metric
definitions, and single sources of truth.
- Ability to structure and document reporting logic, data sources, and KPI definitions.
- Experience working with Carelink or similar CMS system. (Desirable)
- Understanding of modern data warehousing environments used to support analytics
and reporting (e.g., Microsoft Fabric, Dataverse, or similar platforms). (Desirable)
