SUMMARY:
Our client is looking for a DevOps Engineer to join their team. This role is ideal for a technically strong engineer with solid experience in CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, automation, and supporting software delivery across development, testing, and production environments. This opportunity is well-suited to someone passionate about building reliable, scalable, and automated delivery pipelines while ensuring high system availability, performance, and operational excellence.
POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using modern tooling and pipeline-as-code approaches
- Deploy, automate, and manage application releases across non-production and production environments
- Build and maintain infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Bicep or similar)
- Implement and support containerised workloads across orchestration or serverless platforms
- Provide Level 2 technical support for operational and delivery-related issues
- Monitor systems and applications to ensure availability, performance, and capacity stability
- Perform root cause analysis and resolve recurring production incidents
- Develop automation scripts for deployment, reporting, and operational efficiency
- Support configuration management and environment consistency across systems
- Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to implement integrations and improvements
- Design and document operational procedures for system maintenance and troubleshooting
- Apply shift-left security principles in all deployment and automation practices
Requirements:
- A relevant BSc degree or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 4+ years’ experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, or similar roles
- Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines and release automation
- Solid experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools and practices
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure, including core services (e.g. networking, compute, storage, identity, serverless, API management)
- Experience with containerisation and deployment to Kubernetes or serverless environments
- Strong understanding of monitoring, logging, and observability tools
- Experience in system administration and supporting shared application environments
- Strong troubleshooting skills across availability, performance, and capacity issues
- Scripting ability (Python, Bash, PowerShell or similar)
- Development background in Java or .NET is advantageous
Advantageous Experience:
- Exposure to both AWS and Azure environments
- Experience with advanced CI/CD tools (e.g. GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Bitbucket Pipelines, Azure DevOps, ArgoCD or similar)
- Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or Salt
- Experience with database scripting for deployments, extracts, or fixes
- Exposure to AI/ML platforms or MLOps tooling (e.g. MLflow, Kubernetes-based inference platforms, service meshes, or similar technologies)
