Mission

The primary purpose of a BIM Coordinator (Signalling) is to manage and integrate Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes specifically for railway signalling projects

Main Responsibilities

Responsibilities

Includes but not limited to the following:

  • Develop, manage, and maintain BIM models for railway signalling projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering, design, and construction teams to integrate signalling designs into overall project models.
  • Coordinate BIM processes across multidisciplinary teams, facilitating communication and workflow efficiencies.
  • Conduct clash detection and resolve conflicts within models to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Support the development and implementation of BIM standards, protocols, and best practices within the organisation.
  • Provide training and support to team members on BIM tools and processes related to signalling.
  • Assist in the preparation of documentation, reports, and presentations related to BIM models and project progress.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and advancements in BIM and signalling.
  • Convert BIM shop drawings to CAD for as-built submission and work in AutoCAD as needed.
  • Perform site visits to verify design implementation, assess constructability, and ensure alignment between BIM models and actual site conditions.

Profile

Educational Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field; relevant certification in BIM preferred.

Desired Knowledge / Experience

  • 3–5 years of experience in BIM coordination, specifically within railway signalling or related infrastructure projects.
  • Proficient in BIM software (e.g., Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360) and other relevant engineering tools.
  • Strong understanding of railway signalling systems, standards, and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
