System Administration & Maintenance
Manage day-to-day administration of the Xero platform, ensuring data accuracy and system stability.
Configure and maintain chart of accounts, tax settings, tracking categories, and approval workflows.
Create and manage user roles, access permissions, and security settings.
Monitor system performance and apply configuration updates as needed.
Implementation, Migration & Integration
Lead or support Xero implementation and migration projects, including data import, validation, and setup.
Integrate Xero with third-party platforms such as POS, CRM, payroll, and inventory systems.
Develop and maintain automation rules for bank reconciliation and other recurring transactions.
Troubleshoot and resolve integration and data synchronization issues.
Financial Operations Support
Ensure accurate and timely bank feed setup and reconciliation.
Generate and customize management reports such as P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements.
Support the Finance and Accounting team in month-end and year-end closing activities.
Assist in maintaining compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.
Training & User Support
Provide first-line support for Xero-related inquiries and technical issues.
Conduct system training sessions and develop user guides and SOPs.
Promote best practices and ensure consistent system usage across departments.
Continuous Improvement & Change Management
Stay updated with Xero feature releases and recommend relevant improvements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows and automate financial processes.
Lead change management efforts during system upgrades or process enhancements.
Qualifications
Education & Certification
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field.
Xero Advisor or Xero Migration Certification preferred.
Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2) is an advantage.
Experience
Minimum of 35 years of hands-on experience in Xero administration, implementation, or support.
Proven experience in integrating Xero with external systems and automating workflows.
Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and reconciliation processes.
Experience in multi-entity or SME accounting environments is a plus.
Technical Skills
Advanced proficiency in Xero configuration, data migration, and user security management.
Skilled in Excel or Google Sheets for data analysis and reporting.
Familiar with integration tools and APIs related to Xero.
Soft Skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
High attention to detail and data accuracy.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Adaptable and proactive in improving systems and processes.
