This is a contract role to support Oura's initiatives. This role will be employed by SCRG (not Oura), but will work closely with Oura teams and play a meaningful role in supporting Oura growth in the region.

In this role, you will execute and lead reliability engineering efforts in hardware platform, ensuring robust, high-quality products that meet demanding consumer expectations. You will be both a hands-on technical expert and an operative lead, capable of planning, executing, and innovating reliability test methods while mentoring and guiding other engineers and operators.
Job Description
Define, plan, and lead hardware reliability strategies for wearable electronics products.
Serve as the technical authority for reliability test methods, standards, and practices.
Execute and oversee mechanical stress and environmental tests at both component and system level.
Drive failure analysis and root cause investigations, collaborating with design, quality and manufacturing teams to ensure corrective actions.
Develop new reliability test methods to validate innovative hardware products and features and next-generation products.
Create and maintain test plans, procedures, and processes, including coordination with contracted testing labs and contract manufacturers.
Provide data-driven reports, insights, and recommendations to project leadership and cross-functional teams.
Partner with hardware, firmware, test engineering, and contract manufacturing (CM) to ensure reliability is embedded throughout the product life cycle.
Guide and mentor engineers and operators from CMs to build a high-performing reliability capability in the labs.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience in hardware reliability engineering for consumer electronics.
Proven success in designing and executing reliability testing programs end-to-end.
Expertise in:
o Mechanical stress tests
o Environmental reliability tests
o System-level and component-level testing
Strong failure analysis and debugging skills, with an analytical mindset.
Ability to design and implement new test protocols for innovative products.
Familiarity with industry liability standards and regulation requirements.
Experience with managing contracted testing and external lab relationships.
Independent, proactive, and collaborative working style with a let's get things done attitude.
