Job Summary: The Retail Operations Manager, reporting to senior management, oversees and coordinates the operations of multiple fashion retail stores within a designated area. This role involves managing a team of Area Managers and ensuring each store operates efficiently, meets sales targets, and upholds brand standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Area Manager Supervision:
    • Directly manage and guide a team of Area Managers responsible for individual stores within the designated area.
    • Set performance expectations and objectives for Area Managers and conduct regular performance evaluations.
    • Provide coaching and support to help Area Managers achieve their goals.
  • Store Operations Management:
    • Ensure that each store within the area follows company operational standards and policies.
    • Oversee daily operations, including inventory management, visual merchandising, and customer service.
    • Monitor and analyze store performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Sales and Financial Management:
    • Collaborate with Area Managers to develop and implement sales strategies and goals for each store.
    • Analyze sales data and financial reports to assess store performance and make recommendations for improvement.
    • Assist in budgeting and expense control to maximize profitability.
  • Visual Merchandising and Brand Standards:
    • Ensure that all stores maintain consistent visual merchandising and brand presentation.
    • Implement and enforce visual standards and promotional campaigns across stores.
    • Collaborate with marketing teams to execute marketing initiatives effectively.
  • Staff Development:
    • Oversee the hiring, training, and development of store staff, working with Area Managers to ensure they provide excellent customer service.
    • Foster a culture of teamwork, excellence, and customer focus.
  • Inventory Control:
    • Monitor inventory levels and turnover rates to minimize stockouts and overstock situations.
    • Collaborate with Area Managers to implement loss prevention measures.
  • Compliance and Policies:
    • Ensure all stores adhere to company policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
    • Stay informed about industry regulations and implement necessary changes.
  • Reporting and Analysis:
    • Prepare regular reports on area-wide store performance, sales KPIs, and operational metrics.
    • Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for process improvement.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, retail management, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience in retail management, including supervising multiple stores or Area Managers.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in using retail management software and tools.
  • Knowledge of fashion trends and the retail industry.
