Lead the development and enforcement of workplace health and safety policies and procedures
Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses; prepare detailed reports and corrective action plans
Ensure compliance with OSHA (or relevant regulatory bodies) standards and company policies
Provide safety training, orientation, and ongoing education to employees and supervisors
Monitor and evaluate workplace hazards and recommend control measures
Coordinate emergency response plans, drills, and crisis management procedures
Maintain accurate safety records, reports, and documentation
Supervise and mentor junior safety officers or safety staff
Liaise with regulatory authorities, auditors, and external stakeholders
Promote a proactive safety culture and continuous improvement initiatives
Bachelors degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field
38 years of experience in occupational health and safety
Professional certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, CSP, IOSH, OSHA certifications) preferred
Strong knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to conduct risk assessments and incident investigations
Proficiency in safety management systems and reporting tools
