Position Responsibilities
The Associate Research Analyst plays a key role in supporting Deltek’s research and analysis initiatives by maintaining and enhancing database and project content. Working collaboratively within a team of analysts, this position is responsible for identifying, researching, and synthesizing information relevant to government sales and business development. The role requires strong analytical, writing, and editing skills, as well as the ability to stay current with industry trends and contribute to product improvement efforts. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide research, analysis, writing, and editing support to maintain and enhance database/project content.
- Identify, research, and capture new information valuable to clients, including contract opportunities, bids, news, and contacts.
- Organize, analyze, and synthesize data using tools such as PowerPoint, Excel, Cascadia, ScrapeX, and other internal collaboration platforms.
- Conduct and analyze market trends, particularly in bids and project collections, and deliver written and oral briefings to internal teams and stakeholders.
- Participate in formal quality assurance reviews to ensure data quality and meet required standards.
- Collect project information from various sources and add value to Deltek’s information products.
- Contribute to product planning, enhancements, and recommend improvements based on research findings.
- Stay abreast of industry and public sector procurement and policy trends.
- Participate in team meetings, events, and other business activities as required.
- Perform additional tasks, cross-functional training, reporting, and research assignments as directed by management.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in government procurement, market research, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in marketing, research, customer support, data collection, business development, government relations, or a related area; qualified fresh graduates are also encouraged to apply.
- Proficient in computer and internet skills, including Microsoft Office and online research.
- Strong analytical, writing, and editing skills with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent client and interpersonal relationship skills; able to work effectively in a team and maintain a positive, enthusiastic attitude.
- Capable of independently managing time, tasks, and priorities to meet business objectives and support organizational goals.
- Knowledge of/or strong interest in the State and Local Education sector marketplace is highly desirable.
