Core Responsibilities

  • Scope & Initiation: Defining project boundaries, setting clear deliverables, and securing stakeholder alignment before kickoff.
  • Strategic Planning: Building comprehensive project plans, setting master schedules, and allocating personnel and financial resources.
  • Risk & Issue Management: Anticipating project bottlenecks, mitigation planning, and decisively resolving critical project blockers.
  • Budget Accountability: Estimating costs, managing financial forecasts, and approving expenditures to prevent budget overruns.
  • Stakeholder Management: Serving as the primary liaison for executive sponsors, clients, and steering committees to manage expectations.
  • Team Governance: Directing project coordinators, leading cross-functional teams, and assigning ownership for work packages.
  • Quality Assurance: Monitoring deliverables against strict standards to ensure the project adds measurable business value.

Job Requirements & Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Management, Business, or a technical field matching the industry (e.g., Computer Science, Civil Engineering).
  • Certifications (Highly Valued): Project Management Professional (PMP), PRINCE2 Practitioner, or Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP).
  • Software Mastery: Expert command of enterprise portfolio tools like Jira, MS Project, Smartsheet, ClickUp, or Asana.
  • Experience: 3–7+ years leading project teams, tracking budgets, and managing complex timelines.
