The
Accountant is responsible for managing and monitoring the companys financial records, transactions, and reporting processes to support the daily operations of the food business. The role ensures accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards and government regulations, and proper monitoring of operational costs, inventory, and branch financial performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, reports, and reconciliations.
- Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries.
- Monitor daily sales, cash flow, and branch financial transactions.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
- Assist in budget preparation, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Monitor food cost, inventory variances, operational expenses, and profitability of branches/stores.
- Ensure timely filing and compliance with BIR, government statutory requirements, and other regulatory agencies.
- Coordinate with Operations, Purchasing, Warehouse, and other departments regarding financial concerns.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation and schedules.
- Maintain proper documentation of accounting records and financial transactions.
- Identify process improvements and recommend cost-control measures to enhance operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and financial procedures.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Accountancy, Accounting Management, or related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is an advantage but not required.
- At least 1 year of accounting experience, preferably in the food, restaurant, retail, or hospitality industry.
- Knowledge of general accounting principles, financial reporting, taxation, and government compliance.
- Experience in inventory accounting, cost analysis, and branch/store financial monitoring is an advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems/software.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willing to work onsite and render overtime when necessary.
