- General Repairs and Maintenance:
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance tasks across facilities.
- Conduct all-around repairs including, but not limited to, plumbing fixtures, doors, windows, furniture, and building structures.
- Quickly respond to and resolve urgent maintenance issues and work orders.
- Parking Facilities and Infrastructure:
- Maintain the physical condition of parking structures, lots, and surrounding areas, including routine cleaning, debris removal, and minor pavement/surface repairs (e.g., crack filling, pothole patching).
- Execute basic civil works such as foundation repairs, concrete work, and structural upkeep.
- Perform touch-up painting of parking lines, signage, walls, and structural steel as needed.
- Conduct basic masonry repairs on walls, walkways, and other structures.
- Parking Systems and Equipment:
- Assist with the installation, troubleshooting, and repair of parking access control systems, including gates, pay stations, ticket dispensers, and sensors.
- Perform basic electrical tasks, such as replacing light fixtures, ballasts, switches, and performing simple wiring checks related to parking systems and facility lighting.
- Apply basic welding skills (e.g., stick or MIG) to repair railings, gates, bollards, and other metal fixtures within the parking area.
- Ensure all mechanical and electrical equipment related to parking facilities is operating efficiently.
Qualifications And Skills
- Experience: Proven experience in general maintenance, facilities maintenance, or a related trade role. Experience in a parking facility environment is a plus.
- Technical Skills (Basic Proficiency Required):
- Electrical: Basic wiring, troubleshooting simple circuits, and replacing components.
- Civil Works/Masonry: Simple concrete pouring, patching, and minor brick/block repairs.
- Welding: Basic ability to perform minor, non-structural welds for repairs.
- Painting: Surface preparation and application of various paints and coatings.
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, ability to work independently or as part of a team, and excellent communication skills.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions and environments (e.g., confined spaces).
Work Environment
This position is a
full-time role and may require occasional on-call availability for after-hours emergencies. The work is performed both indoors and outdoors in a variety of conditions typical of a parking facility and general building environment.
