Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Introduction:

We are seeking a skilled Senior Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer with around 5+ years of experience to manage our hybrid technology environment, including Microsoft cloud services, VMware infrastructure, and enterprise storage solutions. This hands-on technical role is responsible for maintaining and optimizing both cloud and on-premises infrastructure components.

Core Responsibilities:

Microsoft 365 Platform Management (30%)

· Administer and optimize Microsoft 365 tenant configurations

· Manage Exchange Online environment including mail flow, security, and compliance

· Configure and maintain SharePoint Online sites, permissions, and information architecture

· Implement and manage Microsoft Teams, including policies, governance, and external access

· Oversee OneDrive deployment, security settings, and sharing policies

· Deploy and manage Microsoft 365 Copilot capabilities

· Monitor and optimize Microsoft 365 service performance

VMware Infrastructure Management (20%)

· Manage VMware vSphere environment including ESXi hosts and vCenter

· Perform virtual machine deployment, migration, and optimization

· Configure and maintain VMware high availability and DRS

· Monitor and optimize VMware infrastructure performance

· Manage VMware backup and disaster recovery solutions

· Implement VMware security best practices

· Handle capacity planning and resource allocation

Storage and Infrastructure (15%)

· Manage enterprise storage solutions (SAN/NAS)

· Configure and maintain storage networks

· Monitor storage performance and capacity

· Implement storage backup and replication

· Optimize storage resource utilization

· Manage storage security and access controls

· Plan storage capacity and growth

Identity and Security Management (15%)

· Manage Entra ID (Azure AD) configuration, including conditional access and MFA

· Implement and maintain Microsoft Intune for device management

· Configure and monitor Microsoft Defender for endpoint security

· Manage Microsoft Purview compliance and security controls

· Implement and maintain security policies across all infrastructure

· Monitor and respond to security alerts and incidents

· Conduct regular security assessments and remediation

Azure Infrastructure Operations (15%)

· Design and implement Azure infrastructure solutions

· Manage hybrid connectivity between on-premises and cloud environments

· Configure and maintain Azure backup and disaster recovery solutions

· Monitor Azure service health, performance, and costs

· Implement Azure automation and scripting solutions

· Manage Azure networking and security configurations

· Optimize Azure resource utilization and performance

Technical Operations (5%)

· Develop and maintain technical documentation

· Create and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell

· Participate in changing management processes

· Provide escalation support for complex issues

· Implement best practices and standards

· Conduct regular health checks

· Support business continuity planning

Required Qualifications:

Technical Skills:

· Strong experience with Microsoft 365 administration and services

· Proven expertise in VMware vSphere administration

· Experience with enterprise storage systems

· Expertise in Azure infrastructure management

· Experience with Entra ID and hybrid identity management

· Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation

· Strong knowledge of security and compliance principles

· Experience with Microsoft Intune and endpoint management

· Understanding of networking fundamentals

Certifications:

· Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert (MS-100/101)

· VMware Certified Professional - Data Center Virtualization (VCP-DCV)

· Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)

· Storage vendor certifications preferred

· Additional security certifications preferred

Experience:

· 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure

· 5+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft cloud technologies

· 5+ years of VMware infrastructure management

· 5+ years of enterprise storage administration

· Demonstrated experience in security and compliance

· Track record of successful infrastructure project
