Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
As a Senior Developer iOS, you will play a key role in the design, development, and continuous improvement of MetService’s iOS applications. Working closely with product managers, designers, engineers, testers and delivery leads, you will help create high-quality, resilient mobile experiences that support New Zealanders every day.
This role combines hands-on development with technical leadership. You will contribute to architecture and engineering standards, support modern mobile delivery practices, and help lift team capability through mentoring, code reviews, and shared problem solving.
In This Role You Will
- Design, build, test, and maintain native iOS applications using Swift and modern iOS frameworks
- Collaborate across product, UX, backend, QA, and delivery to release secure, accessible, high-performing features
- Provide technical leadership through architecture input, code reviews, mentoring, and continuous improvement of engineering practices
He Kōrero Mōu – About You
You will bring deep experience building native iOS applications, along with strong knowledge of Swift, modern iOS frameworks, API integration, app architecture patterns, and performance optimisation.
- Significant experience developing native iOS applications, with strong Swift capability and a focus on clean, maintainable code
- Experience with modern iOS frameworks, architecture patterns, testing, CI/CD, and delivering features end to end
- A collaborative communication style, mentoring mindset, and commitment to building reliable, accessible customer experiences
