To be able to assist the Investment Banking team by capably and proactively selling and marketing Unicapital originated securities.
Duties And Responsibilities
Work with internal and external teams to drive Equity Capital Markets and Debt Capital Markets deal distribution and marketing processes
Assist Investment Banking team clients in refining deal marketing strategies to maximise impact with key investor groups
Develop deep relationships with a network of institutional and high-net-worth investors
Help develop strategies that would further improve and enhance the company’s existing distribution capabilities.
Active participation in deal proposal/ origination, such as pricing, structure, and market demand, among others.
Assist in ensuring that the selling and distribution activities, including but not limited to marketing, coordination with internal sales teams and Investment Banking investor base, booking of investments, documentation of sales, and settlement) are performed/undertaken in an orderly, timely, and efficient manner.
Obtain market information and investor views while liaising with the Investment Banking Team, Treasury, Equity Sales, and/or other relevant distribution channels to formulate recommendations for clients.
Assist in developing a market or a base of investors/funders for Unicapital’s capital market transactions
Coordinate with treasury and equity sales teams to drive the placement, sale, and distribution of Investment Banking capital market offerings to institutional and retail investors
Assist in determining pricing, underwriting amount, target investors, and the strategy required to raise the amount of money that the issuer needs.
Assist in the book-building process, liaising with the Treasury and/or Equity Sales team as well as Qualified Institutional Buyers & High-Net-Worth Individuals to ensure that investors submit orders into the book.
Assist in the preparation and production of Corporate Finance correspondence, reports, i.e. Board of Directors report, Sales & Marketing report and documents, as necessary.
Liaise with top-tier officers at large organisations.
Organize and schedule meetings and event attendance.
Sort, file and monitor client and internal documents.
Other tasks that may be assigned from time to time that will support organizational goals and objectives.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor of Science, Major in Finance, Management/ Business Administration, Economics or Accounting. Preferably with Fixed Income and/or Equity Sales Licenses from the Securities and Exchange Commission.
1-2 years of prior capital markets or sales experience
Strong accounting, finance, quantitative and business communication skills;
Ability to demonstrate effective leadership;
Ability to work well as part of a team;
An execution-oriented mindset, exceptional organizational skills and understanding of financial markets;
Knowledge of investment banking products, services, and processes;
Effective marketing, sales, and negotiating skills
