About the Role

We’re seeking a hands-on Data Engineer with strong experience across cloud-agnostic data platforms, focusing on Snowflake, to design, build, and optimise data pipelines for clients across Southeast Asia and APAC.

You’ll be part of an integrated Intelligen consulting team, working closely with our architects, senior consultants, and client-side technical stakeholders. This role is ideal for engineers who are hands-on, delivery-driven, and comfortable working in fast-moving, iterative project environments.

Site Reliability Engineer

The SRE will build and operate the reliability, observability, and operational excellence infrastructure underpinning the GFS managed fraud detection platforms. You will work across deployment pipelines, cloud infrastructure, monitoring, and incident management — ensuring GBG can deliver on high availability SLAs for banking and fintech customers who depend on real-time fraud detection at scale.

What you will do

• Design and operate the SRE practice for Managed oferings, including on-call processes, SLA frameworks, incident response playbooks, and post-incident review (PIR) processes.
• Build and maintain observability infrastructure: centralised logging (correlation IDs), metrics dashboards, distributed tracing, and alerting for the Predator/Instinct platform stack.
• Define and track SLOs (Service Level Objectives) and error budgets for real-time transaction processing pipelines, targeting high TPS and low round-trip latency.
• Manage cloud infrastructure provisioning and configuration using IaC tooling (Terraform, Helm), supporting both AWS/Azure cloud deployments and on-premises customer environments.

Skills we’re looking for

• Minimum 5 years of solid hands-on experience in a Site Reliability, Platform Engineering, or DevOps role, ideally supporting mission-critical real-time processing systems in banking, payments, or fintech.
• Strong proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS preferred; Azure/GCP acceptable) including networking, compute, storage, and managed services.
• Deep expertise with containerisation and orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes (EKS/AKS/GKE), Helm, and associated tooling.
• Infrastructure as Code experience: Terraform (required), and familiarity with Ansible or Pulumi.
• Observability stack proficiency: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch, Jaeger/Zipkin, or equivalent enterprise-grade tooling.

What are we looking for?

We're looking for a detail-oriented Senior QA Automation Engineer to help us shape and strengthen our QA function. In this role, you'll be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test suites that ensure our products meet a high bar for quality and reliability. You’ll work closely with both engineering and product teams to identify automation opportunities, define test plans, and integrate tests into our CI/CD pipeline.

This is a full-time position reporting directly to the Tech Lead. This position would be based in KL Eco City, Kuala Lumpur.

About You

• Lead, mentor, and develop senior data engineers and applied ML engineers
• Build a culture of strong engineering fundamentals, curiosity, and accountability
• Support hiring and development of high-calibre engineers in Kuala Lumpur
• Create an environment where engineers can do their best technical work and grow

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Work closely with Product, Engineering, and AI stakeholders to shape roadmaps and priorities
• Clearly communicate complex technical topics to non-technical audiences
• Represent data engineering and applied AI in senior forums

Skills we're looking for

Technical

• Strong background in data engineering with applied AI/ML systems in production
• Extensive experience building cloud-native platforms on AWS
• Advanced proficiency in Python, including production data and AI pipelines
• Hands-on experience with NLP frameworks such as spaCy (or similar)
• Strong understanding of data modelling, feature engineering, and scalable inference
• Experience designing low-latency and high-throughput data systems

Leadership

• Proven experience leading engineers while remaining technically hands-on
• Ability to coach teams through complex architectural and implementation decisions
• Strong delivery ownership and bias toward execution
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Nice to Have

• Experience with geospatial or Location-based data
• Exposure to feature stores, vector search, or retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems
• Experience deploying AI models in regulated or high-availability environments
• Familiarity with MLOps practices (model versioning, monitoring, CI/CD)

Role Overview:

Responsible for implementing, operating, improving, and supporting Digital Workplace Client & Mobile services. The role acts as an international 2nd and 3rd level support and escalation function, working with modern Microsoft Workplace technologies in a global environment.

Key Responsibilities

Microsoft Client & Mobile Platform Operations

• Implement, operate, and continuously improve Digital Workplace Client & Mobile services, with a strong focus on Microsoft Endpoint Management (Intune, SCCM), Windows Autopilot, Windows 365, Azure Virtual Desktop, and modern endpoint security.
• Plan, provision, configure, and maintain Client & Mobile workloads to ensure a secure, stable, and high‑performing endpoint environment for all users worldwide.
• Operate and optimize the Client & Mobile platform, including updates, OS lifecycle management, configuration changes, compliance settings, and service improvements.

Technical Expertise & Service Ownership

• Act as a technical expert for Intune, SCCM, Autopilot, Windows 365, AVD, device configuration, application deployment, and mobile device management, including troubleshooting, optimization, and client behavior analysis.
• Design, enhance, and maintain Modern Workplace Client & Mobile solutions in alignment with enterprise standards, architecture principles, and business requirements.
• Analyze business, security, and mobility requirements and translate them into scalable, standardized, and supportable Client & Mobile solutions.

Automation & Innovation

• Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot PowerShell scripts to automate administrative tasks, reporting, device lifecycle operations, and operational workflows.
• Monitor the Microsoft Endpoint Management lifecycle and roadmap; evaluate, test, and introduce new features and capabilities for Intune, Autopilot, SCCM, AVD, and Windows 365.
• Contribute to the ongoing evolution and optimization of the Digital Workplace Client & Mobile platform.

Support & Collaboration

• Provide international 2nd and 3rd level support for endpoint and mobility services, including incident troubleshooting, escalation handling, and root‑cause analysis.
• Collaborate closely with Business IT, Security, Collaboration, Adoption, and other technical teams to ensure effective usage, adoption, and continuous improvement of Client & Mobile solutions.

Governance & Documentation

• Create and maintain technical documentation, standards, operational guides, and contribute to internal knowledge platforms.
• Promote and enforce best practices, governance models, and technical standards for Client & Mobile services.

We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer with strong experience in cloud platforms like Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure. The candidate will be responsible for building scalable data pipelines, managing large datasets, and supporting analytics and reporting systems.
