Summary
The Officer – Cargo Operations is responsible for monitoring and coordinating cargo build-up activities for both in-house and third-party (3PL) freighter operations. This role focuses primarily on e-commerce and solutions business, ensuring cargo is built up efficiently, accurately, and in line with flight capacity requirements. The officer also supports ground operations, system updates, and coordination with the Cargo Terminal Operator (CTO) to ensure smooth flight closure and cargo handover.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and oversee cargo build-up activities for in-house and 3PL freighter operations, ensuring compliance with operational and safety requirements.
• Ensure optimal load utilization, with a target of 23 tonnes build-up for AK freighter operations, and full-fit utilization for other 3PL freighter flights.
• Coordinate closely with warehouse teams and CTO to ensure cargo is built, staged, and delivered according to flight schedules.
• Conduct CTO monitoring for ground operations, ensuring cargo acceptance, build-up, and handover activities are executed as planned.

• Identify and assess project risks during all phases and develop mitigation plans
• Monitor risks throughout the project and ensure prompt action to minimize impacts

Quality Assurance and Safety:

• Ensure all engineering and construction activities comply with QA/QC procedures and safety standards
• Address non-conformities and ensure corrective actions are implemented effectively
• Promote a culture of safety and quality throughout the construction period.

Commissioning and Handover:

• Prepare, review all the testing procedure and program as per specifications
• Oversee the commissioning phase, ensuring all systems are tested and operational as per specifications
• Review final documentation from vendor/subcontractors to facilitate project handover
• Support client training and operational readiness as required

• Minimum of 3 years of electrical/civil engineering or construction work background, with construction management related to High Voltage (HV) power system being added advantage.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or civil engineering or equivalent from a recognized institution
• Possess valid CIDB Green Card.
• Able to be located at outstation (i.e. construction site) during project execution.
• Knowledge of solar PV system installation, maintenance, performance monitoring, and electrical protection systems
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 requirements is desirable
• Familiarity with construction requirements (e.g. JKR specifications, JPS specifications), and practical knowledge on “best practices” for construction activities.
• Strong understanding of low voltage (LV), Medium Voltage (MV) and High Voltage (HV) system integration and commissioning
• Competence in Microsoft Office (e.g. Project, Power Point, Excel, Words & etc.) and construction management software (e.g. Procore).
• Strong understanding of electrical drawings such as Single-Line-Diagram, PV Layout, etc.
• Strong understanding of civil drawings such as Foundation drawings, pile & rebar schedule, etc.
• Ability to perform technical due diligence, design validation, and retrofit feasibility studies
• Experienced in managing contractors, and site supervision
• Strong capability in planning and coordination with good resource management skills

• Process end-to-end payroll transactions accurately and on time for all assigned entities.

• Collect, verify, calculate, and input payroll data to maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll records.

• Maintain and update payroll information including salary adjustments, allowances, deductions, bonuses, and statutory contributions.

• Compile payroll summaries covering earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, and other payroll components for reporting purposes.

• Calculate and ensure accurate statutory deductions and employer contributions in accordance with Malaysian regulations, including EPF, SOCSO, EIS, and PCB.

• Ensure payroll processes comply with company policies, internal controls, and local employment regulations.

• Respond to employee enquiries relating to payroll matters and resolve payroll discrepancies in a timely manner.

• Maintain payroll documentation and records to support audit and compliance requirements.

• Assist with employment changes such as salary adjustments and employment variation letters to ensure payroll system accuracy.

• Support payroll reconciliation, reporting, and month-end payroll closing activities.

• Prepare payroll reports and provide ad hoc financial or operational payroll reporting when required.

• Continuously review payroll procedures and identify opportunities to improve payroll efficiency and accuracy.
• Assist in handling ad-hoc HR-related matters and cases as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related discipline.

• 2–4 years of payroll administration experience, preferably in Malaysia payroll processing.

• Strong knowledge of Malaysian statutory requirements including EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB, and payroll compliance.

• Experience with payroll systems and HRIS platforms.

• Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.

• Ability to handle confidential employee payroll information with discretion.

• Good problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve payroll discrepancies.

• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage payroll deadlines.

• Good communication skills to support employee payroll enquiries.

• Ensure smooth and timely freight process flow.
• Ensure accurate and timely client and vendors billing.
• Ensure accurate and timely data entry into our operating system.
• Interact with our customers in arranging their shipments, meeting customer service standards.
• Ensure all shipments processed comply with regulations at all times . This includes internal policies and procedures such as Operational Process Standards (OPS) and external government regulations or customer policies / requirements.
• Understand department process flow, constantly looking for areas of improved efficiency.
• Ensure all customers standard operating procedures are followed as per the DLSOP.
• Work with the team on meeting KPI standards, as per the company’s procedures.
• Monitor shipment reports to ensure total customer satisfaction.
• Daily review operational reports and work with team on updating event codes.
• Build and maintaining strong relationships with vendors and customers.
• To take up additional tasks and responsibilities as and when required to meet the Department’s needs.
