Role Overview

What You’ll Do

As the main point of contact for our merchants, you will:

• Manage end-to-end operational activities, including merchant onboarding, inventory management, logistics coordination, and warehouse operations to ensure smooth business operations.

• Calendar Management: ensure the Executive’s time is well organized and used to best support the goals of the VP of Quality and the broader company.
• Meeting Planning and Organization: Support planning and organizing of internal and external meetings, team offsites, country visits, and other meetings.
• General Enquiries: Act as the source for enquiries and refer routine matters to appropriate parties.
• Tool Management: Manage expense reports, SOW’s and PO’s, and become savvy with WD’s internal tools such as M365, Co-Pilot etc.
• Briefing Documents: Manage briefing documents for key internal/external meetings and create briefing packets for business trips.
• Projects: Work on special projects, as needed.
• Travel: Manage Executive travel needs, including planning optimum travel arrangements

The Global Employee Relations Team supports Western Digital ensuring consistency and reducing compliance risks in our employment practices and policies worldwide. The ER Team partners closely with the regional people solutions representatives, HR Centers of Excellence, Ethics and Compliance and Employment Law to review, advise, and investigate workplace concerns and ensure Western Digital’s employees are treated fairly.

As the Sr. Manager, you will support the Regional Director in reimagining work and expanding boundaries to ensure teams are ready for the future of work. You will grow complex investigative and coaching capabilities on the team while ensuring governance and due diligence to minimize risk. You will be the primary liaison between Western Digital, site labor unions, and the Industrial Relations Office. You will own and maintain a collaborative labor/management relationship on the ground, serving as the company’s lead labor negotiator.  The Sr. Manager will help build a forward-thinking team that proactively identifies and acts in areas of opportunity. You will work cross-functionally to bring deep subject matter expertise to people processes and help build a roadmap for Employee Relations and Labor Relations programs and policies. This position reports to Regional Director of APAC Employee & Labour Relations. 

 In this role, you will: 

• Develop and lead a highly skilled group of ER Partners 
• Responsible for defining and executing the ER strategy for the countries you support, providing consulting, support and direction for the ER function in APAC  
• Act as the primary HR leader engaged in regional union and labor relations activities, partnering cross functionally to define labor relations strategy and foster positive collaboration   
• Act as the primary point of contact for country specific projects/initiatives that have ER implications (including M&A)  
• Serve as the key strategic partner with regional HRBPs and Employment Legal to execute on business strategies while mitigating risk 
• Support investigators in highly sensitive HR and Employee Relations issues, including analyzing data from various internal systems; approving case adjudication; proposing remedial action based on investigation findings; production of thorough investigation documentation 
• Analyze casework trends and produce strategic recommendations to the business to proactively address systemic issues 
• Collaborate, Coach and Influence Leaders on critical elements of compliance, investigations outcomes and other ER matters 
• Stay current on with business trends, HR and ER trends, employment law and the diversity and inclusion landscapes 
• Ensure operational excellence and develop a high-performance team 
• Work directly with internal and external partners to ensure a respectful and inclusive workplace culture 
• Serves Chief Negotiator for Collective Agreements 
• Manage the administration of labor contracts; provides interpretation of labor contracts to managers, employees and HR staff; oversees processes for review and resolution of employee grievances

• Drive sales growth for Solar O&M contracts and solar PV performance improvement projects
• Identify potential projects involving plant upgrades, system optimization, equipment replacement and performance recovery initiatives.
• Perform site assessments on operating solar PV plants to evaluate technical conditions and commercial viability of improvement works.
• Work closely with engineering and operations teams to develop customized commercial and technical proposals for clients.
• Strengthen relationships with existing customers by identifying add-on services and new scopes of work related to O&M and system enhancement.
• Establish and grow relationships with existing, new external customers and asset owners.
• Take charge of preparing and coordinating tender submissions for O&M and solar PV enhancement projects
• Work with internal technical teams to develop accurate cost estimates and Bills of Quantities (BOQ).

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial) or Business, or a related discipline.
