Get to Know the Role
As the Manager of Supply Chain Operations Excellence, you will design, implement, and scale world-class standard operating procedures (SOPs) across our qCommerce network of dark stores and distribution centers.
Serving as the champion for operational excellence, you will lead continuous optimization efforts to drive measurable improvements across our core supply chain metrics, including reliability, lead time (LT), and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
You will report to Head of Supply Chain and be based onsite at Petaling Jaya office.
The Critical Tasks You Will Perform
- Standard Work & Process Design: Design, document, and enforce standard work (SOPs) for all in-store and warehouse fulfillment activities, including picking, packing, counter handover flow, and outbound processes.
- Operational Excellence (OE) Implementation: Strengthen in-store operations by designing and rolling out roles like the 'store captain' to push for operation quality and ensuring adherence to key performance indicators like pick/pack/ready on time metrics.
- Continuous Optimization: Identify and address process bottlenecks and inefficiencies across the supply chain, such as reducing store operation lead time by redesigning outbound processes or optimizing manpower planning.
- Performance Monitoring & Improvement: Build and utilize monitoring tools like the operation performance center and dashboards to monitor operational metrics, review alarms, and manage critical systems.
- Last-Mile Fulfillment Optimization: Lead the continuous improvement of last-mile delivery processes, including rolling out new fulfillment orchestrations to improve reliability.
- Warehouse and Dark Store Layout Design: Lead the end-to-end design, implementation, and optimization of dark store and distribution center layouts (e.g., racking, cold chain/chiller placement, inbound/outbound zones) to maximize space utilization, minimize pick travel time, and improve material handling efficiency.
- Risk & Incident Management: Set up response mechanisms to address force majeure events (e.g., heavy rain, floods) and proactively manage potential incidents to maintain reliability and meet SLAs.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Performance will be measured against critical OE metrics, including:
- Reliability: Order Completion Rate, Completed Filled Rate, and Pax/Mex/Dax Request Cancellation Rates.
- Lead Time (LT): Create to Delivery time, and breakdown metrics such as Accept to Ship LT and Accept to Pick Start LT.
- SLA & Compliance: Ship On Time Rate, Deliver On Time Rate, and MOR Adoption Rate.
