Hybrid Work is Fine, Not Great
My time as a Software Engineer at Orient Software in Ho Chi Minh City was okay. It's a mid-sized tech company. The hybrid work model has its good points, but also some downsides.
The hybrid work setup is pretty decent. We get a couple of days to work from home which helps for personal stuff. As a Software Engineer, I appreciate the option to focus without the commute.
The onsite days are quite strict, not much wiggle room if you need to pop out. It's less flexible than I'd hoped for a mid-sized tech company. Sometimes, you feel tied to the office.
Give teams more autonomy with their schedules. Consider more remote work options, especially for senior Software Engineer roles. Trust employees more.
