Okay startup culture with some growing pains
ArkStack has some good things going, especially for a tech startup. But honestly, the culture felt a bit all over the place during my time there. It's not a bad place to work, but it definitely has its challenges.
The team is pretty solid and everyone I worked with in the **software development** team was supportive. It's a genuinely collaborative environment for a growing **startup**. I also loved the flexibility of working **remote from Austin, TX**.
The company culture was pretty inconsistent. It changed a lot as they scaled up. Sometimes it felt like there were too many internal politics, which really isn't great for **Software Engineer** roles. Leadership communication could be clearer.
Focus on consistent communication from the top down. Try to establish and maintain a clear set of cultural values as you continue to grow. This will help reduce confusion and internal friction.
