Good flexibility, but career path unclear for AI Trainers
Working as an AI Trainer at DataAnnotation offers great flexibility for remote work, but the career growth opportunities are pretty much non-existent. It's good for short-term income, not long-term career building in the AI industry.
I've really enjoyed the flexibility working as an AI Trainer, fully remote. It's a solid way to make some extra cash and the project work itself can be pretty engaging, especially when evaluating language models. It's a decent foot in the door for the AI industry if you're looking for flexible hours.
The big drawback is career growth. There's no clear path for advancement for data annotators, and roles feel pretty stagnant. It's tough to move up beyond your initial position, making it hard to develop new skills or take on more responsibility.
Please create clearer progression paths for AI Trainers and data annotators. Offer training or opportunities to transition into more advanced roles beyond basic data labeling. It would help retain talent if there was a visible future here.
