Good perks, but job security is a worry
Haystack has some strong points like competitive pay and excellent remote flexibility. However, the constant underlying feeling of instability, especially concerning job security, casts a shadow over the overall experience for a Software Engineer here.
Working as a Software Engineer here has its perks. The pay is pretty competitive for a startup in the tech industry, and the remote work setup is great for my work-life balance.
But the job security? It's a real concern. There's always chatter about funding or pivots, and it makes you feel like your role isn't super stable. For those working remote, that uncertainty can feel even bigger.
Leadership should be more transparent about the company's financial health and long-term plans to ease concerns about job security. Stable roadmap planning would help a lot.
