As an AI Engineer in our team, you will play a key hybrid role combining data engineering expertise with business understanding. You will design and maintain robust data pipelines while working closely with stakeholders to identify opportunities, gather requirements, and translate business needs into impactful AI use cases. Your work will directly influence the success of our AI initiatives – from data foundation to real business impact.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures on Databricks and Azure to support AI and ML use cases

• Develop AI solutions hands-on, from data preparation and feature engineering to pipelines powering AI and LLM-based applications

• Collaborate closely with Data Scientists, AI Engineers and the Data & Analytics Team to ensure high-quality, reliable data and optimal performance

• Work with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into actionable AI use cases and solutions

• Identify opportunities where AI can create business value and contribute to the development of innovative AI initiatives

• Contribute to delivering AI projects end-to-end, from concept and exploration to production-ready solutions, ensuring governance and data quality standards

• Experience in Data Engineering or a similar role, with a strong background in building data pipelines

• Experience working with stakeholders on requirements gathering, business analysis, or translating business needs into technical solutions

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python (preferred), Java, or Scala, and experience with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Kafka, Hadoop)

• Hands-on experience with Databricks and Azure AI Services, and familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure (preferred), AWS, or Google Cloud

• Solid understanding of database systems, including SQL and NoSQL, and data architecture best practices

• Strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and a proactive, curious approach to AI, innovation, and continuous learning
