About The Role

We are currently seeking a motivated and technically skilled Application Engineer to join a globally recognized engineering company. This role is ideal for recent graduates or individuals with engineering industry experience who are eager to develop their careers within a leading organization. As an Application Engineer, you will serve as a vital technical contact for both customers and internal teams, providing expert advice on product applications, assisting with technical quotations, and supporting product integration activities. You will play a key role in delivering tailored solutions to OEM customers across diverse industries, ensuring their technical requirements are met with precision and innovation. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a background in engineering, with educational qualifications at HNC/HND or degree level. Recent engineering graduates are encouraged to apply, as well as individuals with relevant industry experience. Candidates should demonstrate strong technical aptitude, problem-solving capabilities, and a proactive approach to learning. Excellent communication skills are essential, as the role involves regular interaction with customers and cross-functional teams. Being located within a reasonable commuting distance to Chelmsford is preferred, although candidates with the right skill set and motivation will be considered from broader locations.

Responsibilities

  • Providing expert technical support and application advice to customers, ensuring their needs are accurately understood and addressed.
  • Assisting in product selection and application engineering activities to develop optimal solutions for clients.
  • Preparing detailed technical quotations and proposals to support sales and project delivery.
  • Collaborating closely with sales, engineering, and operations teams to facilitate seamless project execution.
  • Supporting product integration, modifications, and value-added manufacturing activities to meet customer specifications.
  • Participating in product training sessions to enhance technical knowledge and stay updated with new offerings.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the technical team and across project workflows.

Benefits

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary within the range of 35,000 to 45,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
