As a Collections Team Lead, you will provide day-today work to the group, conducts workload study, plans activities, sets direction, and provides supervision to and evaluation of direct reports. This role plays a pivotal role in overseeing and managing the collections department, ensuring efficient and effective debt recovery processes. Your responsibilities will include leading a team of collections specialists, developing, and implementing collection strategies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares, coordinates and supervises the daily activities of the Desk Collectors
  • Assists Desk Collectors or recommends collection techniques for difficult situations
  • Provides the necessary coaching to direct reports
  • Generates daily, weekly, monthly reports related to performance updates and KPIs
  • Escalates the necessary items to management
  • Processes reversals when necessary
  • Ensures resolution of customer issues raised through the Collection Department
  • Attains the set targets
  • Adheres to the Central Bank and the Company's policies
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by Management to fulfil organizational and regulatory requirements

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or a related field
  • With at least, one (1) year of previous Collections Team Leader experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrates a high level of technical proficiency regarding Client and Company collection systems and processes which measurably exceeds minimal requirements
  • High degree of drive and determination to achieve or exceed set goals
