About the Opportunity
We're partnering with a fast-growing financial technology company that is building mission-critical solutions for global financial markets. The team is looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to help scale and enhance their automated testing capabilities while contributing to software quality across the development lifecycle.
This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside experienced software engineers, cloud specialists, and product teams in a collaborative, engineering-focused environment.
Tasks
What You'll Be Doing
- Design, develop, and maintain automated acceptance and end-to-end testing frameworks.
- Participate in exploratory and manual testing activities when needed.
- Collaborate closely with developers and business analysts to ensure requirements are accurately captured and validated.
- Improve testing infrastructure to support continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD).
- Pair with developers to build quality into products from the earliest stages of development.
- Review requirements and identify gaps in test coverage.
- Proactively identify quality risks and recommend improvements.
- Contribute to maintaining high standards of software reliability and performance.
Requirements
What We're Looking For
Required Experience
- Experience testing individual software components and distributed systems.
- Strong background in automated testing and quality engineering.
- Understanding of end-to-end testing methodologies and test automation frameworks.
- Experience working within Agile development teams.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently in a remote-first environment.
Nice to Have
- Experience with cloud-based applications and infrastructure.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Experience working within fintech, capital markets, trading systems, or other highly regulated environments.
- Programming experience, particularly with Java or similar object-oriented languages.
