Be part of the Database platform team in Enterprise Digital Service Programme Centre to design, setup and operate the enterprise databases to enable MINDEF/SAF businesses to perform secure and efficient data operations and analysis.
Scope Of Work
- Participate in the design, configuration, deployment and operations of enterprise databases on-premise and on cloud
- Drive system management/operations improvements and best practices to ensure system resiliency, performance and compliance to IT system policies
- Evaluate, design and implement security measures to protect data-at-rest
- Provide recommendation and support to application teams in the design and troubleshooting of database operations and performance
- Participate in new database technologies and products exploration for enterprise adoption to better support data operations and analytics
- Degree in any Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related discipline
- Knowledge in Oracle and/or MS SQL database administration experience. Knowledge of NoSQL administration will be an added advantage
- Strong analytical and communication skills to interact with different entities/teams to manage database implementations and operation activities
- Self-driven and performance oriented with good writing skills
- Knowledge and familiarity with government IT security policies and processes will be an added advantage
