Backend Engineer (Identity & Cloud)
Kraków | Hybrid (6 days per month from the office)
We are looking for an experienced Backend Engineer to join a cloud-focused project centered around Identity & Access Management solutions. This role combines backend development, API integrations, cloud-native services, and security-focused engineering within a modern enterprise environment.
Your Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain secure REST APIs and backend services.
- Build integrations between identity platforms and enterprise applications.
- Develop event-driven solutions using cloud-native technologies and messaging services.
- Automate identity lifecycle processes, including provisioning and access workflows.
- Create and maintain microservices deployed in cloud environments.
- Develop Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform.
- Collaborate with Security, DevOps, and Engineering teams to deliver scalable and secure solutions.
- Ensure reliability, observability, and performance of developed services.
Requirements
- Strong experience with Python, Go, or Node.js.
- Experience building REST APIs and backend applications.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (GCP preferred).
- Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
- Understanding of event-driven architectures and messaging solutions.
- Knowledge of OAuth2, OIDC, JWT, SAML, authentication, and authorization concepts.
- Experience with identity platforms such as Auth0, Okta, WorkOS, Entra ID, or similar solutions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in distributed environments.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, GKE, or Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of SCIM and identity lifecycle automation.
- Experience with API gateways, service mesh, or reverse proxies.
- Familiarity with security and compliance best practices.
