What The Role Is
As a Manager/ Senior Manager, SPED Curriculum in the Special Educational Needs Division, you will be part of a team to drive curriculum excellence in Special Education (SPED) schools to ensure optimal student outcomes across a diverse spectrum of disability profiles. You will be required to interact with key stakeholders in the SPED sector and work closely with other divisions in MOE.
What You Will Be Working On
- Work with SPED schools to implement the National SPED Curriculum, including the development and review of SPED Teaching and Learning Syllabuses
- Support SPED educators’ professional development through developing and/ or conducting courses and Communities of Practice
- Develop frameworks and resources in curriculum pedagogy and assessment, use of technology in education, and behaviour support
- Promote strong partnerships with families and the community
- Conduct research and evaluation on ongoing reviews and refinement of curriculum
What We Are Looking For
- Trained in SPED curriculum design/ implementation or intervention
- At least 5-7 years of relevant working experience in a SPED or disability sector
- Possess good analytical, communication and writing skills to distil complex issues into clear and actionable insights
- Ability to analyse complex interdependencies across different domains and agencies, and develop integrated solutions that address systemic challenges
- Proactive and self-directed individual with strong problem-solving capabilities and the ability to work well independently and in a team
