Job Description
We are seeking a
Sr. Data Visualization Engineer with deep expertise in
Tableau, strong SQL skills, and solid data warehousing fundamentals. The role requires hands-on experience with
Tableau and the ability to design scalable, high-performance dashboards, semantic layers, and governed self-service analytics. Candidates should be proficient in advanced Tableau capabilities (LOD, performance optimization, complex calculations) and able to translate business requirements—especially in HR/Workday domains—into intuitive, actionable data experiences.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and optimize Tableau dashboards, workbooks, and semantic models for enterprise analytics.
- Develop advanced Tableau logic: LOD expressions, window functions, row-level security, parameterization, and performance tuning.
- Enable self-service analytics by defining governed metrics, reusable data models, certified datasets, and user enablement workflows.
- Work closely with data engineering teams to define data requirements and optimize BigQuery datasets for visualization.
- Translate HR/Workday, Finance, and business requirements into intuitive visual and analytical experiences.
- Implement best practices for dashboard lifecycle management, quality checks, and performance monitoring.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to drive adoption, iterate on insights, and improve user experience.
- Support cross-platform BI initiatives; contribute to Looker or Power BI work where needed.

Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in data visualization, BI engineering, or analytics roles.
- Strong expertise in Tableau, including LOD expressions, performance tuning, calculations, and dashboard optimization.
- Strong SQL skills with solid understanding of data warehousing concepts.
- Hands-on experience with GCP BigQuery and cloud-based analytical environments.
- Experience enabling self-service analytics, metric standardization, and semantic modelling.
- Exposure to Looker or Power BI (good to have).
- Understanding of Workday data structures and HR/People Analytics concepts (good to have).
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
