About The Role
Elev8 Recruitment Ltd is seeking a skilled Systems Engineer to join an established engineering business based in Diss, Norfolk. This hybrid role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of cutting-edge electronic, instrumentation, and sensing products used in demanding, high-performance environments. As a key member of the engineering team, the Systems Engineer will be responsible for supporting the entire product lifecycle, from initial concept through to deployment and continuous improvement. The role requires a hands-on approach, working closely with electronics, software, and test teams to deliver robust, reliable, and innovative technical solutions. The successful candidate will have the chance to work on complex projects that push the boundaries of current technology, making a tangible impact on high-stakes engineering applications.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in systems engineering or related disciplines, with experience in complex electronic and software integration. Applications are encouraged from engineers with expertise in areas such as electrical and electronic systems, controls engineering, electronics development, vehicle systems, product validation, software integration, and diagnostics. Experience with communication networks like CAN or LIN, requirements management, verification and validation, hardware/software integration, and root cause analysis will be considered advantageous. Candidates should demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, technical competence, and the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams. A degree in electrical engineering, electronic engineering, systems engineering, or a related field is typically required.
Responsibilities
- Define and manage system requirements to ensure alignment with project goals and customer needs.
- Support the development of system architecture and contribute to product development activities.
- Integrate hardware and software components to create cohesive, high-performing systems.
- Plan, execute, and oversee testing and validation activities to verify system performance and reliability.
- Investigate technical issues using structured root cause analysis and implement effective solutions.
- Support verification and validation programs, ensuring compliance with specifications and standards.
- Collaborate closely with electronics, software, and test engineers to facilitate seamless integration and development processes.
- Liaise with customers and stakeholders to understand and translate technical requirements into practical solutions.
- Assist in product releases, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and performance.
