Hardware Engineering Program Manager, which is an onsite position (Monday-Friday) near San Jose, CA. The
Hardware Engineering Program Manager role will oversee complex hardware development programs across cross-functional engineering and supply chain teams, to deliver next-generation data center technologies that eliminate communication bottlenecks and significantly accelerate AI performance.
Responsibilities of the Hardware Engineering Program Manager:
- Lead end-to-end product development programs from concept through production and launch, ensuring alignment across engineering, operations, and supply chain
- Drive cross-functional execution across hardware disciplines including electrical, mechanical, thermal, optical, ASIC, and systems engineering teams
- Own program schedules, milestones, risks, and deliverables; enforce accountability using tools such as Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, or similar platforms
- Coordinate with external vendors, suppliers, and contract manufacturers (CMs) to ensure successful development, manufacturing readiness, and product ramp
- Organize and lead technical meetings, maintain documentation, and provide clear status updates and executive reporting to leadership
Qualifications of the Hardware Engineering Program Manager:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- 10+ years of engineering experience in hardware development including data center, servers, networking, or high-performance infrastructure environments
- 5+ years of program management experience leading complex hardware or embedded systems programs
- Solid understanding of system-level engineering including electrical, mechanical, thermal, signal integrity, power, and optical components
- Experience managing full product lifecycle from concept through production, including working with contract manufacturers and supply chain partners
- Proficiency with program management tools (Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, Jira, Confluence) and strong communication and leadership skills
Compensation for the Engineering Hardware Program Manager includes:
Salary range: $210,000–$250,000
