About The Role
We are seeking a talented and experienced Frontend Developer to join Avochato’s dynamic, remote team based in the United States. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge features in a fast-paced environment. As a React/TypeScript specialist, you will serve as a key technical resource, guiding frontend best practices, conducting code reviews, and mentoring junior team members. Your primary responsibility will be designing, developing, and enhancing user interfaces that elevate the customer experience. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, backend engineers, and designers, to deliver high-quality, responsive web applications. The role also involves debugging complex issues, optimizing application performance, and staying current with industry trends to ensure the platform remains innovative and competitive. Qualifications
- Minimum of 4+ years of professional experience working with React in production environments, with extensive usage of TypeScript.
- Strong proficiency in React state management libraries such as Redux, Zustand, or similar tools.
- Hands-on experience writing frontend tests using frameworks like Jest, Vitest, Testing Library, or equivalent.
- Experience working with WebSockets for real-time data communication.
- Familiarity with build tools such as Webpack and Vite to optimize development workflows.
- Proficiency in working with RESTful APIs and asynchronous data patterns to fetch and manage data efficiently.
- Experience in a Rails-backed environment is considered a plus.
- Knowledge of AWS services including S3 and CloudFront, along with understanding of web accessibility standards such as WCAG, is advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, responsive user interfaces that improve the overall customer experience.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver seamless and scalable features.
- Implement and maintain state management solutions to ensure application stability and performance.
- Write comprehensive frontend tests to ensure code quality and prevent regressions.
- Debug and resolve frontend issues efficiently, optimizing for speed and responsiveness across devices.
- Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and uphold frontend best practices and standards.
- Stay informed about emerging industry trends, tools, and technologies to continuously improve the development process.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to the growth of the frontend engineering team.
