OVERVIEW OF ROLE
The Bartender is responsible for delivering efficient, friendly and professional beverage service, ensuring guests receive a high-quality experience in line with NoMad standards.
This role focuses on service execution, product knowledge and maintaining operational excellence within the bar.
Responsibilities
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The main responsibilities of the Bartender are summarised below; however the list is not exhaustive.
GENERAL DUTIES
- Prepare and serve beverages in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain cleanliness, organisation and readiness of the bar.
- Ensure proper setup and stocking of all bar items.
BEVERAGE KNOWLEDGE & SERVICE STANDARDS
- Mix, garnish and present drinks according to standard recipes.
- Maintain quality and consistency in all beverages served.
- Prepare ingredients, garnishes and mise en place daily.
Guest Experience & Service Standards
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive service.
- Take and process drink orders accurately.
- Provide menu knowledge and recommendations.
BAR OPERATIONS
- Input orders into POS accurately and manage guest bills.
- Handle cash and payments responsibly.
- Ensure all transactions are properly recorded.
COMPLIANCE & SAFETY
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, fire and hygiene standards.
- Ensure all team members are trained and compliant with safety procedures.
- Maintain a safe and secure environment for guests and team members.
- Ensure all company policies and procedures are followed consistently.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 1–2 years of bar or F&B experience.
- Basic knowledge of beverages and cocktail preparation.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work flexible shifts.
