What The Role Is
The Manager, Course Approval, within the Quality Management Division, plays a critical role in ensuring the quality and compliance of courses accredited in the Training Grant System (TGS). This position involves course accreditation, quality checks, system testing, and operational support for survey administration. The role is integral to maintaining high standards in Continuing Education and Training (CET), supporting SkillsFuture Singapore's mission to foster a robust CET ecosystem.
What You Will Be Working On
- Course Accreditation and Quality Management
- Carry out course accreditation/approval and related quality management activities in the Training Grant System (TGS).
- Conduct course quality checks by reviewing course materials against sound adult learning principles and relevant SSG and funding requirements.
- Handle escalated enquiries and appeals from the public and training providers relating to courses, including conducting inquiries to ascertain non-compliances against SSG’s Terms and Conditions for Registered Training Providers (RTPs).
- System Testing and Enhancements
- Support system testing and implement enhancements to TGS when necessary to improve processes and functionality.
- Operational and Survey Support
- Assign new cases to officers for processing and follow-up, ensuring efficient workflow management.
- Provide operations support for the TRAQOM (Training Quality and Outcomes Measurement) survey administration, management, and data reporting.
- Project and Initiative Support
- Support divisional and organisational projects, initiatives, and other assigned tasks, contributing to continuous improvement and innovation within the division.
What We Are Looking For
- Possess the required competencies to execute the job duties proficiently
- Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience, preferably in Continuing Education and Training (CET).
- A good command of English for both oral and written communication.
- Experience or an appreciation of adult education in Singapore is preferred. Candidates with WSQ Advanced Certificate in Learning and Performance (ACLP) or WSQ Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment (ACTA) qualifications are preferred.
- Possess good analytical skills to investigate, evaluate, and analyze public complaints, feedback, and whistleblowing cases.
- Basic or intermediate proficiency in data handling.
Successful candidates will be offered a 2-year contract in the first instance and may be considered for an extension or be placed on a permanent tenure.

About SkillsFuture Singapore
SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) is a statutory board under the Ministry of Education (MOE). It will drive and coordinate the implementation of the national SkillsFuture movement, promote a culture and holistic system of lifelong learning through the pursuit of skills mastery, and strengthen the ecosystem of quality education and training in Singapore. SSG will strengthen the adult training infrastructure by taking on all existing functions of the Committee for Private Education (CPE) and guide the Institute for Adult Learning (IAL) to enhance the capabilities and professionalism of adult educators. SSG will play a key role in the quality assurance for private education institutions and adult training centres.
