Data Test Analyst / Data Tester
Role Summary
We are looking for a Data Tester to support data migration, integration, and data quality initiatives. The role involves validating data accuracy, reconciliation, transformations, and end-to-end data flows across banking systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute data test cases.
- Perform source-to-target data validation and reconciliation.
- Validate ETL/data transformation rules and business logic.
- Write SQL queries for data verification and analysis.
- Develop Python scripts for data validation, reconciliation, and test automation.
- Validate semantic models, data mappings, and reporting datasets.
- Support data migration testing, dress rehearsals, and production validation.
- Log, track, and retest defects.
Required Skills
- 3+ years of Data Testing experience.
- Strong SQL and database testing skills.
- Good Python knowledge for data analysis and automation.
- Strong understanding of semantic models, data lineage, and data relationships.
- Experience testing data migrations, ETL pipelines, and data transformations.
- Ability to perform source-to-target mapping validation and data reconciliation.
- Experience with Azure DevOps or similar test management tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Desirable
- Banking or Financial Services experience.
- Experience with Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Power BI Semantic Models, SSIS, or similar platforms.
- API and Integration testing experience.
Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science, IT, Data Analytics, or related field.
- ISTQB certification preferred.
